SAP B1 PRODUCTION REQUIREMENT:

This is all about how SAP Business One handles production requirements, material requirement planning, production orders, bills of materials and resources. By accessing the main menu for SAP B1, go to the sales AR option and from there go to the sales order window, it can be very easily determined that there is a shortfall of stock against the order. By scrolling across we can see the details of the available stock. By drilling through the item code we can see the associated bill of materials and then the item master record. By clicking the inventory data tab in the item master data further details related to stock levels are available. Additionally we can see the shortfall listed for this stock level.
When the planning data is selected the human method is planned and set to make in MRP. We can now close the window and navigate back into the main menu. The shortfall of stock needs to be handled by production and we know an order needs to be raised. There are number of options which can be handled. Go to the production menu and manually we could create the production details as long as we have the authorization to do this. Production order is easily generated by pulling through the bill of materials link.
The due date for the production order to be completed. However this may not be the best way of handling the requirement. SAP B1 tool is to understand the production and then suggest production orders which are created to fulfill those requirements provided in the core solution. We can see an option called MRP which stands for material requirement planning is one of the main menus in the SAP Business One production module. This module provides various tools that will look into stock levels, scenarios and other level requirements. Another suggestion is to generate documents to re-clannish production and even for purchasing requirements.
Example, one production item is selected to run through the MRP wizard across multiple locations. Certainly another factor included here is sales documents, stock levels and so on. In the results window, the MRP has generated recommendations to view. In order to view the recommendations simply navigate the MRP menu. Click on the order recommendations and ensure that the details are correct and click ok. The order recommendation window is launched to see the production orders listed as the item that has a shortfall in stock. By scrolling across, the details related to how many are recommended to be ordered and how they have been produced and also the details about when the orders need to be fulfilled.
On the far left-hand side there is a checkbox underneath the create option, click the check box and click on update, this will end automatically the production order required. A pop up window will show up and states that the order has been created successfully. Click on ok and then close the window. If we simply click back on the production menu and then click on the production order we can bring the last order which has been created. By launching this production order we can see the details from the bill of materials that has been pulled through on to the production order. This includes all of the related information added for text and resources in addition to the items for raw materials.
By clicking the icon for preview, we can also see the print document generated. This is using the fully integrated generated report for SAP B1. By clicking on the product number drill there to the orange arrow, we can navigate to the bill of materials associated with the product. If the production order gives good results we can go to the status, drop down and choose release and click on update. Additionally we review the details of the components and sources by clicking the orange arrow.
This will take through to the resource master data. Like other master data the resources don’t require any information. For example, capacity. We can also see further details into the availability of planning according to the number of resources available. By drilling through the production order to the late resource we can access further information related to the available capacity and we should also look into the planning data for labor resources.
In the resource master data, the details related to how many people are available and how many hours available per day are seen. Finally by looking into the open item list displays the entire open production list.
