SAP BUSINESS ONE 10.0 ADMINISTRATION – APPROVAL AND AUTHORIZATION IMPROVEMENTS

Administration approval and Authorization Improvements data:

SAP Business One 10.0 administration approval and authorization improvements. We would like to introduce a couple of improvements in the approval process and the authorizations on the tab level. The new setting “enable authorizer to update document draft in pending status” enables approvers to update draft documents in pending status. Both the approver and the authorizer can update the document for approval. This minimizes unnecessary back and forth between the approver and the originator and thus simplifies approval procedures.

The newly added fields “last updated by and last updated on” provide more transparency. The approval status report now contains the field information, draft updated by, Draft updated date, Draft update time and draft remarks. The approval decision report contains the same fields.

The Authorizations can be granted on the tablevelWhen managing business partner master data. The authorization can be set to full, read-only or no authorization. The same tab-level authorization can be granted when managing item master data. This gives the possibility to grant more accurate authorizations to each user based on tasks and responsibilities. If a user has no authorization for a given tab, this tab will be automatically hidden.
