GENERAL LEDGER REPORTS IN SAP B1
GENERAL LEDGER REPORTS FINANCIALS MODULE IN SAP B1
This idea is a suite of standard post which allows users to analyse, drill down and extract information to gain an insight into the organization’s performance and position. A lot of insight would be achieved using a financial module and the general ledger is a key report which can assist with us based on the type of exercise. The general ledger report can be found in the financials module and their financial reports accounting in the general ledger. When the general ledger screen opens, we can see a range of selection criteria which will really allow us to drill into the area which we would like to analyse.
It is called the choices of business partner and accounts and then we have the date which ranges. We have also got more detailed selection criteria under the expanded option. So once we open the ‘Expanded Selection Criteria’ screen, we can see all the marketing documents that can impact the general ledger. We can also get transactional and reference information that we can search by, as well as including projects which are user-defined fields and dimension values, that we have a few options in the particular screen.
SAP B1 also has the ability to add journal vouchers and view the suspended journals that have not been posted to the system right yet in the ‘General Ledger – Selection Criteria’ screen. We have also got display options on the right hand side in the general ledger screen, and the options to show reconcile transactions or not. We also have the ability to do evaluations as well. So if we are dealing with foreign currencies and different system currencies we can also handle that within this particular report. To run the report, we just go ahead and select the criteria.
So we can run the applied turnover and cost of sales accounts and then we have to click the ok button. So that it will go away and run the report and it will show us the information on the screen in the ‘General Ledger’. So the first section is the turnover account which is the exact account number 401000-10, using this we can get more information. And then we also have the underlying transaction where we can see a range of our invoices that are posted to that particular turnover account. We can also see the offsetting account which is the card code or business partner on the particular account and then we can see the balances.
‘Form Settings’. Allows to show more information on this particular screen. Just like all grid like structures in SAP Business One, we can also export this to a spreadsheet and from the golden arrows underneath document number column, we can draw through to the source transaction so that we have the A/R Invoice for bubble box. This little report is a powerful report and it has a whole bunch of additional options and we can go to the help file to find out more about each particular type of option.
