3 THINGS BUSINESS SHOULD CONSIDER SELECTION PROCESS
3 BIG CONSIDERATIONS ARE:
1. Pick a system that will scale with you, if you know what your business is going to be not just today, but a year from now or two years. From now when you actually get it implemented then you’re head of game. Because most people don’t so find a system that has the ability scale with your business up or down don’t want to over build but you certainly don’t want to under build and pin yourself.
2. Find an implementation partner that you can work with because you’re going to live together you’re going to spend an awful lot of time together you need to find a partner that you can trust.
3. Third and maybe not in this order maybe I’ll reverse the order. Ensure that you have visible and sustain sponsorship from the very top of the organization the hardest part in all of this technology honestly at the end of the day is the easy part the hardest part in all of this is the organizational change the impact that you’re going to have across the organization you’re going to have people who up until the point the ERP able is implemented we’re doing a single thing and now they have to do 10 things. We’re not going to build dumb systems we don’t dumb our systems now we hire smart people we enable those smart people to work, but it will be a change for them and so that organization will change component and the disruptive nature of this type of technology cannot be underestimated. Those would be three that I could come off with come up with but I could probably think it’s three or four more as well.
